With this program, the radio.string.quartet carefully translates Bach’s breathtakingly perfect music from the legendary violin sonata in G minor into the 21st century, shaping the notes in its own innovative, contemporary language without presuming to change their meaning or content.

The theme of water and its flow acts as an overarching narrative that spans the concert experience – a musical story is presented. 

With High Altitude Euphoria, works from the quartet’s multifaceted oeuvre tell the story of the path from the mountain peak to the spring and lead to the Bach epic Like Waters. This epic, initially a gentle trickle, continues to swell as it flows through the musical worlds, forming a torrent at the end of the journey with the brilliant Presto – a flowing musical force of nature, powerful and beautiful at the same time.
