Gentlemen Music Club

With the Gentlemen Music Club, the five “glorious seven” of the Viennese music scene do us the honor. The all-star band consists of Russkaja frontman Georgij Makazaria, who has also been up to mischief on many an operetta stage, the “devil’s fiddler” and comedian Aliosha Biz, half of the duo from “Klezmer Reloaded” Alexander Shevchenko, choirmaster and mastermind Roman Grinberg and the outstanding klezmer clarinettist Sasha Danilov.
The “gents” have many well-known and unknown songs with a lot of passion and nostalgia in their luggage. With a good dose of charm and humor, they present highlights from film and dance music, including many treasures from the folklore of Western, Southern, Central and Eastern Europe. In their current program “Vodka auf Veltliner”, the five creative artists show both similarities and differences between the Eastern European and Austrian soul in their witty and cheeky way: a varied musical-satirical program.
